On 7 – 14 August 2017, the first economic visit to Angola organised by WRDF took place. It was a continuation of measures undertaken by the Marshal Office of the Wielkopolska Region with the consent of the Executive Board of Region. Angola is one of the priority directions in our foreign expansion and the country is perceived as a gateway to Africa for Wielkopolska-based companies.
The agenda included meetings in the Ministries of Health, Industry, Agriculture, the Embassy of Poland in Angola, the Luanda Province and the Huíla Province, which is Wielkopolska’s partner region. The participants visited hospitals in Luanda and Lubango, they also examined the land earmarked for investments. Additionally, they participated in the Expo Huíla fair and the fourteenth edition of Feira Agropecuária.
The aim of the visit was to learn about the chances for Wielkopolska-based companies to enter the Angolan market and consider participating in fairs as a way to contribute to economic promotion of Wielkopolska.
